10/18/2024 Prep vs DePaul Catholic RecapThe Marauders traveled to Paterson, New Jersey for the Zone6ix Classic on a Thursday night. Despite the hot start, the Marauders fell to DePaul Catholic 54-21.
The game started out with a fumble on the opening kickoff that was recovered by Prep. The Marauders responded right away as Tyler Bell connected with Andres Perez once again for a 10 yard touchdown. Prep converted the two-point conversion, and led 8-0 early in the first quarter. Unfortunately for Prep, it was the only lead of the night. DePaul went on to score the next 34 points in the first half. Towards the end of the first half Tyler Bell and Andres Perez did connect for another touchtown, this time from 17 yards. However, DePaul responded with a touchdown of their own to end the half and went into halftime up 41-15. The third quarter featured another Prep touchdown from Tyler Barksdale on a 2 yard run, but the Marauders could not convert the two-point conversion and DePaul still led 41-21. That would be the last score for the Marauders, as DePaul scored the last 13 points and won the game 54-21. Prep falls to 3-4 on the season, and the Marauders next game will be on October 25 where they will host Pope John XXIII at 7PM at Caven Point. Comments are closed.
